The new Board of Directors is settling in and Friday and Sunday Nights are in full swing. For those of you visiting for the first time, I just wanted to give you a little background on who we are and how to get started with ATC.

It's pretty simple really. ATC is Austin's only gay/lesbian tennis league. We are a diverse group of people that love to play tennis. We play (almost) every Friday at South Austin Tennis Center and Sundays at Pharr Tennis Center.

Fridays are a little more structured and RSVPs are required. To get on the RSVP list, first sign up for the ATC Group Mailing list by sending a blank email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it That will get you set up on our mailing list. We send out a weekly invite for Friday tennis at the beginning of the week. Reply to that email and reserve your spot on Friday Night.

Sunday Night is a different animal all together. Has it been a while since you've last been on court and you want to gradually get back into the swing of things? Join us on Sunday! Sundays are much less structured and open to anyone who wants to show up. Mingle with the folks, find an open court and jump on. Everything's very laid back and casual.

Everyone is welcome to join us on either Fridays or Sundays. Fees for either night are $5/person. Register as a member of ATC (see that Join ATC link up there?) and your court fee for Fridays and Sundays is only $4. Sign up as a GOLD Member and you basically pay nothing else fo rthe remainder of the year. Standard Membership is only $45 for the remainder of the year and Gold Membership is the best deal at only $200 for all ATC events for the remainder of the year.

So what else do you get for your membership fee? Well, you get the discounted fees for Friday and Sunday night tennis socials, but you also get access to the membership list with contact info for other ATC members so you can keep in touch with everyone. You also get discounted entry into our Team Tennis sessions, Club Championships, and End of Year Party.

• Click the Join ATC link and sign up as a member. You'll get a welcome letter from the Membership Director with general info.
• Pay your membership dues! (Reduced fees for Friday or Sunday nights, Team Tennis, Club Championships, etc)
• Come out and have fun!
